Wednesday Morning Update
Good morning all! It's hump day yet again, and all eyes are on tomorrows system. As for today, we’ll see a mix of sun and clouds with temperatures making a run at 70 degrees.
Late tonight into early tomorrow morning, a weakening line of showers and storms will progress through the area. We will see a break in the rain and storm activity before new activity develops during the afternoon hours tomorrow. At this time, severe weather looks very possible as the SPC has much of Kentucky under a SLIGHT risk for severe weather.
There are still questions on how tomorrows event evolves. If we see more rain during the morning period, the severe weather threat would decrease. If we see more clearing and some sunshine tomorrow morning into the afternoon hours, our severe weather risk would increase. Please pay close attention to the latest forecast, as this could be a sneaky severe weather event for our area.
Outside of the thunderstorm threat, isolated heavy rain will be possible especially in Western Kentucky, where 1-2 inches is on the table.
Windy conditions are also likely, with wind gusts up to 30 MPH possible.
As we head into the weekend, cooler weather with dry conditions are expected. Stay weather aware over the next 48 hours!
