Saturday Morning Update
Good morning everyone! Today's blog will only concentrate on today's weather; since an active day is anticipated. Scattered showers will be possible throughout much of the day. As we progress into the afternoon hours, strong to severe storms will be possible, especially over Western Kentucky. The Storm Prediction has expanded the slight risk (level 2/5) east to include much of Central Kentucky. They have also issued an enhanced risk (level 3/5) for parts of Western Kentucky. Stay weather aware today, as I will be monitoring this potential closely.
Outside of any thunderstorm today, a wind advisory has been issued for the possibility of winds gusting to 40 MPH at times for any location inside the advisory area. This advisory goes into effect at noon today and expires at 9 PM.
Moderate rain is also likely later tonight. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain under 1 inch in most locations, so flooding isn’t a concern. However, a few isolated flooding issues cant be ruled out!
We will be monitoring the weather closely today, so check back for the latest weather updates!
