Thursday Morning Update
Good Thursday everyone! Warm temperatures and gusty winds will be the main weather story today. Highs will moderate into the lower 80's, but this comes with strong winds gusting to 45 MPH at times. Showers/storms will develop to our west and move through Central Kentucky during the overnight hours tonight. The good news is that this line will be weakening as it moves through the area; however, some strong storms are still possible.
Showers/storms will move out of the area by Friday afternoon, and clearing will take place, which will allow temperatures to make a run at 70 degrees. On Saturday, expect a slight chance for a pop-up shower/storm, otherwise, expect increasing clouds. The next system that will impact our area will develop over Texas on Friday night. This system will bring moderate to heavy rain across the region mainly during Saturday night into Sunday morning. Rainfall amounts between 1-2 inches will be possible during this time-frame.
Another system looks to impact Central Kentucky during the Wednesday/Thursday time-frame, which could bring more moderate to heavy rain to the area. The WPC is now forecasting between 2-3 inches of rain for the area over the next seven days:
