Wednesday Morning Update

Good Wednesday morning everyone! We have one more day of excellent weather in the area before our pattern turns active. As for today, mostly sunny skies are expected with temperatures in the lower 70s

Nothing much has changed for this period, as a strong area of low pressure over the midwest will increase southerly winds, which will allow temperatures to rise into the upper 70's on Thursday. Wind gusts look to be as high as 40 to 45 MPH, which would be wind advisory criteria. On Thursday afternoon, a line of strong/severe storms will develop to our west. This line will move east throughout the afternoon hours and will move across Central Kentucky during the overnight hours on Thursday. We aren't looking at a significant severe weather threat, but a few isolated storms can't be ruled out.

Showers will move out of the area Friday morning before another quiet period of weather begins. Mostly sunny skies are expected but with cooler temperatures in the upper 50's to lower 60's.

Saturday Night-Sunday:

Another active period with heavy rain and strong storms possible, with the most significant threat being heavy rain. Rainfall amounts between 1.50-2 inches will be possible over Central Kentucky over the next five days.

Have a great Wednesday everyone!
