Good morning everyone! An active week s in store, as the remnants of Hurricane Barry, will bring heavy rainfall to the area midweek.
Today: Not much to talk about for today, mostly dry with a slight chance for a summertime afternoon storm.
Tuesday and Wednesday: Remnants of Hurricane Barry will move into the area Tuesday afternoon. The best chance for heavy rainfall will be during the Tuesday night and Wednesday timeframe before slowly winding down on Thursday. At this time, 1-3 inches will be possible by the time Thursday morning rolls around. Gusty winds between 25-30 MPH will also be likely during this timeframe.

Thursday through the weekend: Rain will move out of the area on Thursday and a much hotter and drier period will settle in. Our most scorching weather of the year so far is looking likely, with temperatures jumping into the low to mid 90’s early next week, with heat index readings approaching 100 degrees.
