7/16 Tuesday Weather
Good Tuesday morning everyone! The Remnants of former Hurricane Barry will move into the area later this afternoon. The best chance for heavy rainfall will be later tonight and throughout the day tomorrow before slowly winding down on Thursday. At this time, 1-3 inches will be possible by the time Thursday morning rolls around. Occasional areas of heavy rainfall will be possible, which could create some minor flooding issues, especially in flood-prone areas. For this reason, the WPC has placed the entire area in a slight risk for excessive rainfall, which means that scattered flash flooding is possible.
Thursday through next week: Rain will move out of the area on Thursday and a much hotter and drier period will settle in. Our most scorching weather of the year so far is looking likely, with temperatures jumping into the low to mid 90’s early next week, with heat index readings approaching 100-110 degrees.
